We’ve partnered with The Frosted Flamingo and Art Spot to coordinate camp weeks so you can add an afternoon option to your camp schedule. Register here for an afternoon of art and creativity during the same weeks as our camps. Art Spot camps run from 12:30 pm to 4:30pm and parents are responsible for transporting your child from The PlayGarten to The Art Spot (1 block away).
The PlayGarten will be closed to the public during camp time so our staff members can be fully dedicated to leading a great day of camp. Each camp day will have a designated theme and our games and movement activities will be centered around that theme. Themes will be published one week in advance of camp start date and some themes may repeat in multiple camp weeks. There is no attire requirement to match the theme, but we welcome creativity if your child wants to wear a costume they can move in!
Example themes include: Move Like an Animal, Ninjas and Pirates, Move Like an Olympian, Shark Week, Dance and Music, Outer Space, and Move Like a Game Character. For example, on our Ninjas and Pirates day you can expect your kids may be challenged to navigate through a complex obstacle course in our playground and play a game such as Ships Ahoy! On “Shark Week” Day, campers will love the classic Sharks and Minnows and will test their balance in a “floor is lava”-like game where they try not to fall in shark-infested water! During check-in and pickup kids will be allowed free play time in the playground or on our turf area.
Weather permitting, we will leverage our patio for outdoor games when appropriate. Please ensure your camper has sunscreen on prior to arrival.
Please pack a change of clothes, a water bottle, and a mid-morning snack free from nuts for your camper.
